Worthy of Note (even if it is a few months behind :)
My husband's academic achievements seem to make a habit of getting overshadowed by other life events.
In 2007, we picked a date for our wedding and started planning away. By the time we were way deep into arrangements and therefore fully committed to the 10th of June as our wedding date, Alain found out that the commencement ceremonies for his official graduation with his Bachelor of Science from UBC-O were also scheduled for June 10, 2007. No contest there, and the wedding went ahead as scheduled at almost the exact same time as his peers were being handed their diplomas. We did have a family function in the fall to celebrate his achievement but still.
Earlier this year, Alain officially completed another phase of his academic achievements. It was never really announced because new babies (our sweet niece Isabelle) are very exciting and the postal strike happened to drag out the sending and receiving of official documentation.
Background explanations aside.
Take note y'all, my husband is now a full-fledged journeyman carpenter.
CONGRATULATIONS ALAIN on sticking to it, completing the schooling and all of the work hours to finish being an apprentice and get your Red Seal certification as a carpenter.
I love you honey and am so proud of you for finishing what you started!!
